Lote Tree Leaves

Lote tree leaves are a type of leaf from the ziziphus trees, also known as jujube. They have great medicinal purposes and are good for treating certain skin diseases in particular.

They are antioxidant-rich and anti-inflammatory, which improves the appearance of your skin, as well as fighting against oxidative stress and free radicals. They are also antibacterial, which can reduce the spread of a skin infection, as well as promote healthy, glowing, and radiant skin. Studies have shown that the sidr leaf has immune-boosting properties and can encourage the production of white blood cells, which helps to fight infections and other disease-causing organisms.

It is said that the Prophet — may Allah have mercy on him and his family — used to perform ritual washing-ablution of his head with the Lote Tree leaves (bi’l-sidr). He would do this every time he was sad-gloomy or distressed, and it would dissipate his sadness and distress.

This is a tree that is nigh the right-hand side of the Divine Throne (al-arsh) above the seventh heaven, and it terminates the knowledge of every angel. It is the Tree that the angels of Paradise seek shelter under, and it is where the angels recite their verses to God, and they are the first to enter the highest levels of Paradise, which is beyond the horizons (sa’ira al-arsh) — it is the pristine [Divine] Essence of All-Sabeeah. It is also referred to as the “Lote-Tree of Paradise” or “the Tree of the Exception.”
